    In 1983, the Bureau published the "Atlas of Major Texas Oil Reservoirs" a precedent-setting synthesis of key geological and engineering data designed to enlarge our understanding of existing reservoirs, and aid in additional recovery. Since then, the series has expanded to include gas and areas beyond Texas.
